A family of royal drums from the Ashanti region of Ghana, West Africa, the Fontomfrom Drums are played with sticks on ceremonial and state occasions, gathering of the community, and communication with the ancestors. Also known as obonu drums, these drums are tuned to different voices and have a powerful presence.
